Fort Atkinson Middle School has an enrollment of more than 500 students in grades six through eight. It is affiliated with the Fort Atkinson School District and offers a curriculum that includes English, science, social studies, family and consumer science, business studies, computers and physical and health education. Its athletic department offers various sports activities, such as volleyball, basketball, wrestling and track. The school has a guidance department that provides career planning services and individual and group counseling to students. The extracurricular activities offered by the school include forensics, student council, drama, science and chess clubs, yearbook, band, orchestra and choir. The school conducts individual student evaluations and assessments to assess areas, such as academic achievement, intellectual functioning, social skills and emotional development. It is located in Fort Atkinson, Wis.
