Forest Middle School serves the educational needs of students in grades six through eight. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students and offers educational programs in science, language arts, English, mathematics, health education, computers, social studies, arts and crafts, music and physical education. Its media center features traditional resources, such as books and magazines, as well as technologies, such as CD-ROM and electronic catalog and circulation systems. The school s library has a wide collection of more than 12,000 books, over 600 video and nearly 20 computers. The library also provides access to several online databases, including Big Chalk, SIRS and Virginia Collection. The school s fitness club is a physical activity club open to all staff members and students including parents. Forest Middle School is a part of the Bedford County Public School District and is located in Forest, Va.
