General Info
MarieAnn Zumpone-Weibley, AuD, CCC-A is a member of Summit Healths Audiology team. Dr. Zumpone-Weibley treats patients of all ages who are experiencing hearing loss, vestibular disorders, and tinnitus. She is particularly skilled in evoked potential testing, which evaluates the brains pathways for hearing.Dr. Zumpone-Weibley focuses on the individual throughout her course of care, working to ensure ones needs and concerns are fully understood and addressed. I really enjoy getting to know my patients, she says. I want them to feel they can ask questions and leave with a good understanding of their hearing or vestibular condition.Dr. Zumpone-Weibley was drawn to her career in audiology after working in a school for deaf students, where she discovered fulfillment in facilitating access to hearing. She also has family members whose hearing loss was not remediated earlier in their lives, further motivating her work in early intervention and providing the best possible care to all.Treating hearing loss in musicians is of special interest to Dr. Zumpone-Weibley, as well, given how various instruments and performance levels affect testing for and remediating hearing loss. This clinical interest also has a personal connection, as her husband and daughters are accomplished musicians.Dr. Zumpone-Weibley is active in the community as a mentor to future audiologists and as a member of the Long Island Speech-Language-Hearing Association, where she has served as president. She is a supporter of cancer and arthritis research, and LGBTQ+ rights. She is also proficient in American Sign Language (ASL). Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, reading, cooking, watching figure skating, and cheering for the New York Mets.
