Fontana Building and Safety Department is responsible to implement and enforce conformance to state laws and city ordinances that relate to structural, fire, health and life safety requirements. Based in Fontana, Calif., the department works through the review of plans and the inspection of new construction. It is divided into three sections: administration, inspections and plan check. The Inspections Section of the Department of Building & Safety is responsible for all field inspections of construction work in progress. Its plan check reviews all plans that are submitted for conformance to all applicable codes.
