Based in Fombell, Pa., it offers a range of products that includes neutral grounding transformers and systems, current transformers, constant-voltage transformers (CVT's) and power conditioners. The company specializes in dry-type transformers and also manufactures oil filled potential transformers. Acutran is the supplier of a number of transformers and reactors used by the United States Navy on nuclear-powered aircraft carriers.
