      Dr. Horowitz has served as the director of Pediatric Urology at Staten Island University Hospital since 1999. He is an associate professor of urology and the field of pediatric urology makes up 100% of his practice. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology, Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He trained in Urology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and then did a two-year fellowship in Pediatric Urology at the Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Downstate Medical Center. He has held academic and clinical appointments at Weil Cornel Medical Center and SUNY He has been involved in Healing the Children, pediatric urology missions around the world. Dr. Horowitz has authored 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 15 chapters in major urological textbooks and has presented over 70 abstracts at national meetings. He was named teacher of the year four times and has lectured around the world on a variety of subjects in pediatric urology including posterior urethral valves, congenital obstruction, laparoscopy, urologic reconstruction, bladder dysfunction and urodynamics.
