Flowood Elementary School has a staff of regular classroom teachers and teaching aides that offers educational classes in music, art, physical education, reading, writing, social studies, basic skills and math. The school serves students in kindergarten through grade five. It organizes various special programs, such as academic tutoring classes, after-school programs, and musical groups. The school has a library media center that encourages individual use of all types of print and technology resources by students and staff. It has a parent-teacher association that sponsors various educational and social programs, which compliment the classroom curriculum.
