Any previous reviews complaining about the service or the food I have simply never seen in 4+ years but would just say that nobody is perfect all the time. I have been to quite a few authentic (and "Westernized") Chinese food restaurants. Empress is my local favorite -- the food is consistently good (the combo fried rice is the best I've had anywhere), the service is always good, and the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere (it's never so loud that I cannot have a conversation with someone, even when the place is packed) and is always clean.

Resturant is always clean, staff is nice and food is good. Great place for a casual dinner out.

The food is very good (not great) but they deliver, so that makes it great in my book! We've been ordering from them for years.

I love the feeling when I go into this particular Empress of China restaurant. It's quiet and relaxing with great service. On top of that, the food is very good.

I went there with my daughter for lunch and we both had the shrimp with asparagus. The shrimp had a bad taste like it was spoiled. We called over the owner and he treated us like we were in the wrong. Then we paid for or appetizers and tea and left. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any resturant.If this is the kind of service the owner gives well lead by example. I will never go there again. I've been to this restaurant several times, but just had my birthday dinner there this week. It was top of the line as usual. Great food, great service. I definitely recommend if you're in the mood for Chinese

the chicken fried rice is the best you can get!

If you want good Chinese Food, not "Americanized Chinese Food", go elsewhere. This was a very disappointing experience. The wait staff was not friendly. It was almost as if they were afraid to smile. I would not recommend this one.

Great food and nice place.

Empress of China was a favorite in Irving, TX. After moving to Flower Mound we were thrilled to see that there's one here too! We're slowy but surely making it through the whole menu and haven't been dissapointed yet.
