I checked-out yesterday from the hospital, and he was not only thorough in both pre- and post-op procedures, but his work was outstanding. Several nurses and admittance clerks talked about how fortunate we were that our insurance covered us for Dr. Shovlin, that he was among the best, and they said they would defininitely have no problem using his services if they ever ran into a physical problem of their own in his area of expertise.This was the fourth intestinal surgery I've had (others 20 years ago), and this was the best. Incision was barely noticable (which marveled the nurses as well!), and the pain was minimal. He treats you like a true friend throughout your entire process, which is always comforting.
