Lawson Elementary School was established in 1962 and is located in Florissant, Mo. The school enrolls more than 400 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. It provides education in many subjects, such as communication arts, mathematics, English, science, social studies and physical education. The school offers an early childhood education program that includes communication, cognitive, physical, adaptive, social and emotional development skills. Lawson Elementary School additionally has an English language learners department. The school is affiliated with the Hazelwood School District. Its parent-teacher association offers several fundraising activities and programs. The school s library provides a variety of reading and reference materials, including storybooks and picture dictionaries.
