William A. McClanahan D.M.D. is a restorative and cosmetic dentist for the entire family. His commitment to excellence is seen in his compassionate care with his patients. Dr. McClanahan was born and raised in the Shoals area. Born in Florence, he attended Coffee High School where he graduated as Valedictorian in 1969. He then went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University. Dr. McClanahan graduated from the University of Alabama Dental School in 1978. He was ranked #1 in his freshman and sophomore class and finished #5 in his graduating class. His continuing education includes studying cosmetic dentistry under Dr. Bill Strupp. He has also studied endodontics using the thermafil technique. He has attended numerous practice management seminars conducted by Linda Miles, a leading instructor in practice management. He has been a member of the American, Alabama, and Quad Cities Dental Association for 30 years. Please contact us for more information!
