Mark Schwartz has a family type atmosphere that makes one feel comfortable when trying new instruments or getting repair work done. He is fair and easy to work with. It's fun to just go there to hang out.

This is, by far, the best place for anyone interested in strings to go. I myself am very young in terms of the violin world (13), but Mark Schwartz has been a very kind and generous person. I owe him so much, because i wouldn't be anywhere near as good as I am without him. I was just at the store today, and I needed a Violin Mute. Mark met me personally and as soon as I indicated what I was there for, he stood up and got two different mutes (a Practice Mute, which severely lowers the sound, and an Orchestral Mute to be used in a concert), which he put inside my Violin case. As he stood up to shake my grateful hand, he said "Merry Christmas - No charge." I think of Mark Schwartz as a very kind man, and I hope that this review will direct more people into his store.
