I was very pleased with the professionalism of Joe who came to the house and cleaned out my basement drain. He was quick, and very polite. Discount Drain was also about half the price of the other guys. Great price, Great Service!

Mark, the plumber from Discount Drain, was late. That’s the only negative remark I can make. Other than that, Mark was clear, knowledgeable, and informative. I’ve dealt with a half-dozen plumbers over my 68 years, and I expect them to be late, rude, expensive and tight-lipped. They act as though they’re doing me a favor, as opposed to being well paid. Instead, Mark went beyond being merely friendly and helpful.
Example: My basement floor-drain had backed up, I had assumed because of the heavy rains. He told me that I probably had roots in my sewer lines. He snaked out a huge clump of roots, then snaked again and got another large clump. Any other plumber would have likely found the first clump and left, knowing I’d be calling him back soon for the other clump of roots.
Another example: Once he finished, I told him I intended to use bleach to mop the entire basement room where the floor drain had backed up. He suggested that I first mop thoroughly with Pine Sol, explaining that if any urine had flooded out of the drain and I doused it with bleach, the chemical reaction would release a gas that could kill me. I’m not a chemist. I would never have guessed that. Although the chance of sufficient gas to kill me might be small… DID MARK SAVE MY LIFE?

If I could give this company six stars, I would. Highly recommended.
