Founded in 1979, Hunterdon Hospice is a Medicare-certified, nonprofit organization. It provides hospice care to individuals in Hunterdon, Mercer and Somerset counties in New Jersey, as well as to the communities of Warren County, Ohio. The organization has an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers, home health aides, pharmacists, nutritionists and therapists. Hunterdon Hospice offers palliative care and pain management services. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The organization is a part of Hunterdon Healthcare, which is a nonprofit health care organization that is located in Flemington, N.J. Hunterdon Healthcare provides various medical, counseling, behavioral health, rehabilitative, diagnosis and screening services. It also maintains a 175-plus-bed medical center.
