Scrooge Serving Christmas Fare

The food is good but the ownership and management is terrible! We made a reservation for Christmas, well in advance which was not honored. When we tried to figure out what happened, they basically blamed us because they decided it was not convenient to keep the reservation! The owner said if we would come back, he would 'take care of us". HUMPH!!! the effort was basically the equivalent to leaving a penny for a bad waiter. Well the waiter was actually pretty good, but the manager who came to our table not only chose not to try to make amends but was rude, and indicated, for a second time, that it was our fault. All the while, she admitted she was there when the reservation was made in the first place! We want to keep our dollar local but with choices like this, we may have to redefine the "local" use of our dollars. We have no interest in supporting businesses who treat their customers like miscreants. Bad job Josephine's! Coal for you this holiday!

Not so nice

The tiramusu had a crisp little shallot in the bottom and tasted like it had been made days before. The special was a chicken sandwich with a spread that tasted like old socks, not quality cheese spread, and was about 4x4 in. for $11. I am told that this portion is not normal for the restaurant, maybe they save such for new customers like myself. Tea, sandwich, roasted potatoes, dessert and 15% tip totaled $23. Ambieance was terrible, the place was covered in old dead plants, should have tipped me off that my patronage was not welcome when waitress thought outloud that the table I wanted may be needed when lunch crowd comes in, Won't visit again. Thank-you.
