Provided by YP.comI stopped by a few days ago, and I was floored by the service. It really is great. I picked up a few aged steaks to try out over the weekend and holy cow! They were fantastic! I noticed a previous reviewer said that steaks are aged using salts. I'm no expert, so there may be a way to age a steak with salts, but I know that dry ageing a steak involves letting it sit in a cooler for 7-10 days. Regardless, I'm going to recommend John's to everyone I meet.

Provided by YPmobileI have always had a pleasant experience with John's Butcher Shoppe. John the owner is very nice. Once I went there and the store was already closed but John opened the door and served me anyway. John's steaks are the only steaks that my kids will eat. I will continue to go back time and time again.

Provided by YPmobileWas in there yesterday and was absolutely disgusted at what I saw in the coolers for sale. Meat that had taken on a black hue they told me was a aged steaks. These were not aged, it was meat that had been sitting there and not sold. A proper aged steak is aged using a process with aging salts. The store was also not clean at all, I will not be returning.

Provided by YP.comDo not count on being treated right at this shop. We used John's butcher shop for a holiday party. When they were asked by the young woman that picked up the ham how many pounds she would need to feed 20 ppl she was told 20 pounds. I don't know about anyone else but I am not eating 1 pound of ham at one dinner sitting. When the store was confronted about this recommendation they just laughed and said yep that's too much meat. Don't go there unless you want to get ripped off!
