Been a client since moving to Fernley in 2011. Dr. Remsen and her staff have always been nothing but kind and caring to me and my Great Danes. I've never found the office anything other than immaculately clean and never had any trouble getting an appointment in a reasonable time. They have also always managed to squeeze me in when I've had more urgent needs and the pricing is right in line with every other vet I've ever used and more reasonable than many. My experiences with the other vet in town and Animal Care Center have been just the opposite of the other reviewers and I have to wonder about that

For many years this was the only animal clinic in town. I hated going in there. Lots of rude receptionists over the years...and the prices got higher and higher. I've always had 2 dogs...and 2 or 3 cats.

Then...a new clinic opened...in the old post office building. Lower prices and nice people. I go there now.

If there was a way to not give this clinic a rating at all I would. I recently moved to Fernley and walked in to schedule an appointment and make copies of my pets records. I have 2 large dogs. The staff was rude and impatient. It took 10 minutes for receptionist to acknowledge I was there and then acted like I was inconveniencing her to help me.

When I asked about scheduling an appointment to update vaccines she said they had nothing available until next week and since this was not an emergency I should be happy that they could get me in that early. I asked about licensing my dog in Lyon county and the requirements and she said that was not her department and that I would need to contact the City and ask them.

The clinic was dirty and smelled horrible.

The staff was inconsiderate and unintelligent.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I did not schedule an appointment instead drove to other clinic and walked in and they saw my dogs within 15 minutes with no extra fee as a walk in.
