Mr. Thorp served as the president of the Cumberland County Bar Association as well as the 12th Judicial District Bar. Mr. Clarke served as a US Magistrate Judge for the US District Court, Eastern District, North Carolina from 1973-1983 and he and his family are respected members of the Fayetteville community today.
