Provided by YP.comThe facility was very clean the animals were well cared for and even given their plush bedding supplied by Finger Lakes. The staff was very friendly and courteous and the managers were very knowledgeable. Even the dogs that entered the door for their daycare program work cited to be taken back by staff. This is a great business!

Provided by YP.comI can not say enough positive things about Finger Lakes Pet Resort, especially Tricia Kennedy. My female standard poodle, Miss Yvette and I have been taking both group and private lessons with Trisha. When Miss Yvette first started, she was very shy and would not allow anyone to come close to her. Over the past 18 months Miss Yvette has gained confidence to a degree I never thought possible,
One of Trish's greatest gifts is the ability not only to recognize but appreciate the uniqueness of every dog she works with. I truly believe it is this trait that allowed her to progress Miss Yvette to where she is today.
I make sure that I recommend Finger Lakes Pet Resort, especially Trish to any dog owner I know, and in some instances overhear, stating that they need an outstanding trainer!

Provided by YP.comWe are a busy young family in desperate need of dog training. Spoke with Mary about getting started as soon as possible. She suggested Tricia... so I spoke with her and scheduled an appointment. I left work early, drove home to change and get my dog and then drove 45 minutes back to Farmington to be on time (actually early) for our lesson... only to be told by the girl at the desk when I got inside that... "Tricia forgot to put the lesson on her calendar and she is already home." While they did offer to give me my next lesson for free... I would rather find a place that cares about their customers time and busy schedules. The best part of all of this is... I saw Tricia leaving as I had pulled in. At the time, I didn't think anything of it as I was 25 minutes early... I figured maybe she was taking a quick break and didn't want to bother her. So instead, I took my dog to the bathroom and then went inside... it had been maybe 10 minutes after Tricia left... but that is to much to ask of a person to come back and keep their commitment. Clearly if you choose to bring your dog here, you just need to be aware their time is much more valuable than yours.

Provided by YP.comThey did not offer any refund or accommodation. Typo in original submission. This is an update to my previous review. I can not recommend this place under any circumstances.

Provided by YP.comI have a one year old husky who is great with other dogs and I figured that daycare would be great. I met with the daycare manager and was really excited about starting my pup on his "evaluation week." I have been called 3 times to reschedule (3 months from my original date to send my dog to daycare) . Granted there was a case of kennel cough so it needed to be safe for everyone an I understand that is out of their hands. But I had attempted many times to call the daycare manger and did not receive responses in a timely matter and had to call one time to confirm that he would start, and she told me "oh we cant have him come tomorrow" and provided me a date ONE MONTH later. So the day finally came that my dog could attend daycare. I watched the cameras and only saw him out for a few minutes in two days and received a call that my dog is "too rough" and instantly jammed expensive privatelessons down my throat. I instantly took him to CAMP BOW WOW and am SOO happy.my dog can ACTUALLY play

Provided by YP.comBoth of my dogs were attacked or injured within a two week time span. The staff is real nice but I don't want to take a chance with my dog's health. they mean too much to me and apparently it doesn't mean that much to the owners-- never heard from any of them after my vet visit! Stay away!

Provided by YP.comOur dogs Athena & Zeus have been there twice; first boarding experience when we picked them up they were covered in pee without explanation. We discussed with the owner and decided to give them another shot as they were close by for our boarding needs. Second time- our dogs both smelled like pee again and Zeus had a piece of his ear missing. There was blood all over our car from the second we picked him up. Despite numerous attempts to find out what happened within the staff nobody was ever able to tell us what happened. They did not issue a refund. I had this review on their facebook page as well but now they have disabled reviews so I will share them here.
Not satisfied with care given my dog, was not given prescribed medication left for dog. The manager gave no apology or any desire to assure this would not happen again.
horrible place since the new owners took over. people fired for no reason others quit before they get fired. dogs not supervised. over priced and under staffed.

Provided by YP.comI love my dog very much and love to stay with him most of the time. But due to some official tours I have to left my dog in care of neighbors. Some time it becomes difficult when my neighbors are also out of town. Then I found Boom towne which sort out my problem. Now I can left my dog to this daycare without having any issue as they take care of my dog, feed good and also trained my dog in multiple games.

Provided by YPmobileI have a special needs dog (with multiple medical issues) and although this business has had it's challenges in the past the staff and care has always been SUPERB!!!! I am always confident that when I board my dog that they will take excellent care of him. We have been boarding there for several years and my dog recognizes & knows the staff! I have recommended them to many friends.

Provided by YP.comUnethical Business. Please beware of reviews here or elsewhere; they are most likely biased. Boom Towne posted on their social network page this message:
"Boomtowne Canine Campus Boom Towne will also offer an additional $5.00 incentive credit on your account if you write a review about Boom Towne on Google - If you decide to write a review on both Merchant Circle and on Google you will receive a credit on your account of $10.00. Please email Cindy@boomtowne.com that you participated and after verification, we will credit your account. Thank You All."
Obviously they would not reward for negative reviews. They should expect a report from the BBB very soon.
The business itself has questionable ethics (as evident from posting) but the groomer is great. Additionally, the majority of the workers and owners (who do not manage onsite/business practices) are wonderful and good natured, but the current management of the facility it HIGHLY questionable and immoral. BE VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN DEALING WITH THIS BUSINESS
This post makes assumptions that are not fact. Boomtowne welcomes comments both positive and negative. The person who made the offer in 2010 no longer works at Boomtowne. The owners ,moreover, took over the management of the company when she left. As the poster admits, she likes the management , groomer and other staff. We cannot understand the inflamatory term "Unethical" unless this is simply a vendetta involving a misunderstood offer from an ex-employee. We hope readers of this post read it carefully and draw their own conclusions.

Provided by YP.comI won't take my dogs anywhere else - the entire staff always has a friendly hello for me and my dogs. They treat them like part of the family. The facility is always clean and my girls never put up a fuss when they go - as a matter of fact they are excited and could care less about me leaving them.
