I love Mrs. Maddox cakes! They have an amazing boiled frosting. I have ordered several birthday cakes from Mrs. Maddox and they have all turned out lovely.

Ordered a special dessert for a business dinner recently from Mrs. Maddox Cakes after a co-worker raved about their baked goods. The nice lady on the end of the phone auggested a Turtle Cheescake. Homerun! My associates were amazed at how light and fluffy the cheesecake perfectly complimented the rich chocolate and caramel topping. Very rich, very good!

Had yet another cake from here for my daughters bday party. The cake was delicious as always. Moist, fresh and the frosting was very tasty. They designed an Ariel cake for my four year ould and it was exquisite. She as well as every single party guest loved it! I will reccomend Mrs Maddox to everyone and they will be my bakery of choice for the rest of my life! Love them!

I would not waste my time driving to this bakery. I was trying to order a cake for my party and brought them a design I would like created. They agreed to do the design and gave me a price. The appointment took so long, that I had to leave and go to another appointment. When I came back to order the cake my paperwork magically disappeared and the price had now increased. I reminded them of the price we agreed on before and they called me a lier. I told them, how could I be lying if this is the number of slices and this is the cost per slice. How else would I have known that. It was not a little increase either it would have costed me over a $100 more for the same design and the same number of slices. I took my business somewhere else.

the only people writing good reviews about Mrs Maddox cake shop must be the owner because i also have had a bad experience with this cake shop. i ordered two birthday cakes from them for my twins those were the worst cakes i have ever eaten, the cake was dry and crumbly and the icing was very , very bitter. the guest would not eat the cake.i called the shop to speak to the owner and was told the owner, Mrs Maddox was deceased. i ask to speak to the person in charge and Jodie ,(the manager) answered the phone she was very rude and didn't care to here my complaint.she kept repeating that there is nothing wrong with the cakes and there is no refunds. i didn't ask for a refund i just wanted to let her know the cakes were awful and was not eatable. i told her i was going to bring the cakes back to the shop so she can taste them herself. she told me very rudely in so many words,that if i did bring the cakes back she still couldn't do anything about it, .I am in the process of taking Mrs Maddox cake shop to small claims court because the birthday cakes were very expensive and i don't have that kind of money to just throw away .

My mother bought me a cake from here a couple years ago, the cake was good, but it was way over priced, and they messed up! They spelled my name wrong, they fixed it, but you could clearly tell it was touched up, not so good for a huge birthday party! they did give us a discount, but I would rather not have a messed up cake.

Ive never tried there cakes before but I have tried there cookies. I would not recommened the cookies here. The white chocolate nut cookies are very doughy in the middle, almost raw. So are the oatmeal raisen and the chocolate chip. They have a nice flavor but I wont be getting them again because they were not done.

Mrs Maddox's cakes taste SO good and the cake designs can't be matched. I use to ONLY get my cakes from a lil bakery in Royal Oak, which switched bakers and they stopped tasting as good, and I was REALLY worried about where to get my cakes from from that point. HAVE NO FEAR MRS MADDOX IS HERE!!! My family and I have been getting cakes from her for the past 4 years and never been disappointed. I can't wait to have her do my wedding cake next year. I wouldn't trust my celebrations that require a cake to anyone else.
