Despite our name, Houston Engineering, Inc. (HEI), is not based in Houston, TX, but rather named after our founder George Houston. HEI first opened its doors as a civil engineering and surveying firm in 1968, in Fargo, ND. Since that time, we have expanded our capabilities, our staff, and our geographic area to enhance the communities we serve through responsible infrastructure solutions. We have offices in North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Iowa. Our experienced team is comprised of more than 200 employees providing a full range of civil engineering, surveying, environmental, planning, and technological consulting solutions to clients across the United States. Were proud to be serving local and national clients for more than fifty years with creative, efficient, and lasting solutions that enhance the future of communities.
