Skillins Greenhouses is a true Maine tradition. Its fifth-generation Maine family business was founded in 1885 by Alexander 'Pa' Skillin to provide seedlings and produce to the local area. The growth of Skillins over the years has mirrored the growth of Falmouth and its surrounding community. After World War II, as Falmouth changed from fields and pastures into a town of fine homes, Skillins expanded into a landscaping, greenhouse and floral business. Today, it produces many of its seasonal crops, from mums to poinsettias.
