Unreliable and untrustworthy! Owner doesn’t seem to care about customers. I would not recommend using Richard’s Maytag for appliance repairs.

Our puppy chewed through the cord to our refrigerator. She is lucky she didn't get hurt. We were lucky to have someone respond so quickly! Fast, friendly service!

Had him come out well over a month ago and despite taking the ignition from the stove and saying he would order that part as well as a motor for the dishwasher, he has not called or attempted to return to do the repairs. We have called and stopped by with no answer or indication of when and if any repairs would indeed be made. Rude and inexcusable.

Back in the middle of September our washing machine decided to quit working. We contacted Richard's Maytag Appliance Ctr to come to our home and take a look at it and see if it was worth repairing. The repairman arrived on 9-20 to diagnose the problem. He said that the repair required a part that would need to be ordered. He told my wife that the part would be in and the repair would be completed in less than one week. One week came and went with no call from the repairman. Trying to be understanding of the fact that things do not always go according to plan, we waited another week, and still no call and no repairman. At this point my wife starts trying to get a hold of someone, anyone. She left multiple voice mails and messages with people over the course of the next few days. At this time I went on family funeral and was gone for a week, expecting that upon my return on Friday, October 7th the repair would have been completed. To my disbelief, the repair had still not been completed, and no one had ever returned any of my wife's calls. On Monday October 10th, I called and left a voicemail expressing my displeasure and canceling the service request. Within a mater of only a few hours I received a voicemail from a representative at Richard's Maytag saying that they had staffing problems and that the part was now available if I still wanted them to come out and do the repairs. I have elected to simply ignore them at this point, much the same way they have ignored my wife. Needless to say I do not want them to come to my home and do anything other than apologize to my wife for wasting so much of her time in phone calls and two extra weeks of having to go to the laundry matt. I will never do business with these people and I can not in good conscience recommend them to anyone else. Especially to a woman that will get ignored until an angry husband calls them. I give them one star, only because there is no option for zero.
