This review is for the woman doing nails.

I purchased a deal from Living Social in May 2014 (gel manicure and spa pedicure). I set an appointment over the phone and went to my scheduled mani-pedi hoping for a good service. First, the woman said it was a pedicure deal, so I corrected her by saying that the manicure was also included. Then she said to me "What is on your nails?" I said that It was gel. She said "it will be extra to remove the nail polish". I replied that it was not in the rules of the deal and that I would like a refund. She said to me that I can go get my refund from Living Social and that she didn't like half of the Living Social customers anyway. She left.



I was in shock. I asked the hair stylist "Is this it, she will just leave like that?". The stylist said she didn't know and that they worked separately. She called the nail technician and I tried talking to her again. I said "There is no indication in this deal that removing the gel would be extra". She replied "This is not part of the deal". I told her "How could you say that? Everyone comes in with a nail polish on. There is nothing in the fine print stating you could charge more". She told me I had an attitude. I replied "How could you say something like that? I came in, said hello, smiled and waited for you patiently". Her response was "I don't want to do your nails anyway, go get your refund.

This is the most unprofessional salon I have ever been to. I showed up early for my appointment and was treated like a piece of dirt. The lady who was suppose to do my nails wasn't even at work yet (11am) and then called the salon to scream at me about showing up too early. It had taken me over a month to finally get an appointment because the lady I was dealing with would cancel or not return phone calls. There are better salons with better prices that will treat you much better.

This is a very professional Salon. The owner and all the stylists and techs are long time veterans in the beauty business, all having over 15 years experience in their individual fields. It is a clean and inviting Environment, and a great place to watch all the action going on in the village of Fairport. You can be sure that with every service performed you will be getting the best quality available in hair, nails, skin care and more, with the attention you deserve.
