In operation for more than 80 years, McKinley Elementary School offers a range of educational programs to more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its curriculum includes language arts, math, art, science and English. The school administers band, music, Title I and physical education programs. It also maintains a library and media center that stocks books and periodicals and provides links to search engines. The school operates a student council, as well as a parent-teacher organization that conducts several fundraising events and programs. In addition, McKinley Elementary School employs a nurse, counselor and custodians and is located in Fairport Harbor, Ohio. It is a part of the Fairport Harbor Exempted Village School District, which governs various educational institutions.
