I needed a $30-$50 Hot Surface Ignitor for my Carrier Weathermaker furnace on a friday. I was told there would be an additional after hour/weekend charge of $120, rather than order the $40 part online, I elected to take a day off and wait for Monday so the professionals could install and I would be certain there were no other problems. I was charged $145 for the part as well as an $85 diagnostic charge, with tax bringing my 10-15 minute in home repair to $243.80 I feel that Hendershot Heating & Cooling charged me $200 for a 10-15 minute service call. You can decide if you thing this is a bit much (I do).
