Fairfield County Day School, founded in 1936, offers educational programs to more than 270 students in grades kindergarten through nine. It is a day school for boys, and its curriculum includes English, mathematics, social studies, science, technology, computer application and arts. In addition, it offers ethics classes, music and orchestra, and foreign language, such as Latin and Spanish. The school provides various recreational programs and extracurricular activities for students, such as field trips, community services, student publications and public speaking, and summer fun programs that includes athletics, archery, arts and crafts, cooking, computers, music, swimming, tennis, barbecues and special talent performances. Fairfield County Day School is approved by the Connecticut Association of Independent Schools and Connecticut State Department of Education. It is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and International Coalition of Boys Schools. It is located in Fairfield, Conn.
