Established in 1918, the Cordelia Fire Protection District is a fire district that provides fire and emergency medical services to the communities of Green Valley, Rockville, Cordelia and Lower Suisun Valley, Calif. It is an autonomous district that serves a population of more than 5,000 residents. The district features a range of equipment, such as a command vehicle, Engine 31, water tender and air trailer. In addition, it provides hall rental options. It participates in an annual home inspection and education program that is designed to help residents prepare for a fire by creating defensible space around their homes. The district s staff members include full-time paid personnel and volunteer and resident firefighters. The Cordelia Fire Protection District is located in Fairfield, Calif.
