- Ear Infection TreatmentDr. Johnson and the entire team at Jermantown Animal Hospital are wonderful, incredibly attentive, personable, and solutions driven. We found Dr. Johnson after one of our dogs had ongoing ear infection issues. Our previous vet (prior to Dr. Johnson) said our dog needed to have her ear drums and inner ear canal removed because of her ongoing ear infections. She would be left almost deaf as a result of this surgery. In seeking a second opinion, we went to Dr. Johnson, who worked with us in looking at the entirety of our dog's health and diet, not solely at a surgical fix. She came up with a plan involving medication, at-home treatment, and a specialized diet because she thought that her infections could be allergy related. Fast forward 2 months, and our dog is doing great! No more ear issues, no ear infections and no surgery! Our dog is happy, healthy, and able to hear perfectly. Dr. Johnson saved our dog from an unnecessary and rather drastic surgery, and preserved her hearing. We have since dropped our last vet and now all 3 of our dogs see Dr. Johnson and her team - terrific group and highly recommend!
