Crime Solvers operates a tipline that provides information about crimes and wanted people. Located in Fairfax, Va., it is a community partnership between the City of Fairfax Police Department, the George Mason University Police Department and the greater Fairfax business community. The City of Fairfax Police Department is a law enforcement agency that protects residents lives and their properties and safeguards individual rights and community values. The department maintains a citizen police academy that provides programs and services for crime prevention in association with residents. It operates a safe neighborhoods traffic enforcement program that prevents traffic violations.
