Founded in 1973, Gem Roofing and Water Proofing Corp. is a division of the Gem companies. The Gem companies have experience in roofing, sheet metalwork and masonry restoration. These include brick, precast, terra cotta, stone model and molds for replication, pointing, cleaning and wood windows, among others. The company works on both new and restoration projects as well as is a specialist in the IRMA roofing system. It has WBE certification in both New Jersey and New York. Some of Gem Roofing and Water Proofing Corp.'s projects include Kings Plaza Mall, Bronx Botanical Gardens, Hudson County Correctional Facility and PS 3. The company is located in Union City, N.J.
