do not buy cabinets here. i cant speak to any other products but buy your cabinets elsewhere. nothing but a hassle from day 1. starting with taking an extra week above expected delivery at time of order so i had to delay other trades like the granite. then the product arrived in terrible condition. damaged cabinets, very visible seams in cabinets, didn't send everything i needed (especially not enough molding) and other various damages like where a chunk was taken out during manufacturing and instead of sending a new door without that chunk they tried to paint over it to hide the issue. i paid extra for full overlay (cabinet doors supposed to meet a 1/4in apart). evidently that doesn't apply to a pantry because they only make certain door size. no one ever warmed me that a pantry is different and needless to say i was surprised to see a 1 and 1/4 inch gap between doors. their solution: take the hinges out myself and move them and that should get them about 3/4in apart. ultimately, they have chosen not to make an additional door size because it would cost extra money. yet, they took my extra money for this feature. the cabinet manufacturers rep did come out but basically he had as many excuses as the abc rep. at least the merillat rep took some action but more or less he looked for ways to minimize cost to them and talking me out of the most effective way to solve the problem and into the most efficient for him. an additional four weeks later the additional merchandise, which showed up broken or non existent in the first place, showed up at the store and they blamed the delay on my gc. i asked for a credit for the inconvenience and was basically told to bug off. four week later is a huge inconvenience. many parts of the project were held up (such as not being able to put the handles on the cabinets and install the back splash) because of the cabinet issues. and what do i get, more excuses. shocking.
