- Upper Respiratory Illness TreatmentDistemper (Feline Rhinotracheitis / Calici / Panleukopenia) – This core vaccine is recommended for all cats. It is a combination vaccine that protects against several common and easily transmissible viruses, which can cause severe respiratory infections, and severe GI disease. The respiratory disease can be spread through the air by infected cats, and the GI disease can be spread through urine or feces.
- Leptospirosis TreatmentLeptospirosis – This vaccine is recommended for all dogs who go outside. Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease that is spread through the urine of infected animals (it is often carried by wildlife such as raccoons and opossums), and is most often contracted when dogs come into contact with contaminated water. It may cause fever, weakness, anemia, and kidney or liver failure in severe cases. It can also be spread to humans though the urine of infected animals.
