Cruise with Smith Island Cruises to discover the tranquil life of living on Smith Island- a place where you can see everything by bicycle or golf cart. Or you can simply stroll the lazy one lane streets of the island and talk to the Islanders about the land they call, simply, "Home."While on your stroll, you can visit the gift shops, browse the general store, peek inside the tiny Post Office and explore the Smith Island Center where you can learn about the way of life in this extraordinary community. Most cruises depart from Crisfield or Point Lookout. At Smith Island Cruises, we make every attempt to make your trip to the island a memorable one. However, we reserve the right to cancel any trip due to bad weather conditions and/or not having enough people to take the boat out. Generally, for weather conditions, we know first thing in the morning. But we sometimes do not know that there isn't going to be enough people, until noon. This seems to happen at the very end of our season, typically mid October if the weather gets cold. We make every attempt to run our boat daily during our normal season. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.Don't forget to purchase a Smith Island Cake while you are there. The Maryland State Dessert: Smith Island Cake is available at the Bayside Inn Restaurant Carryout.
