Its services include design and build, general construction, construction management, pre-construction, value engineering, budgeting and constructability reviews. The firm has completed more than 2,500 projects, including commercial office buildings, corporate interiors, retail establishments, food and drug stores, banking facilities, warehouse and distribution centers, health and educational facilities, community centers and residential estates. G.A. Johnson & Son was founded by Swedish immigrant Gustav Augustus Johnson in 1874. It was incorporated in 1915 and remains family-owned. The company is based in Evanston, Ill., and is licensed to operate in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.
