Gilham Elementary School lays emphasis on a strong basic curriculum by providing a wide range of educational and extracurricular programs. It offers classes from grades kindergarten through five and its curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, reading and writing, and programs, such as physical education, technology, fine and performing arts. The school has a fully equipped library that provides a variety of resource materials and parents are encouraged to participate in various school activities and spend extensive hours volunteering for fundraising. It operates a hot lunch program and its after school activities include Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, camps, Emerald Valley Little League, science fair, theater and choir.
