Founded in 1916, Piggly Wiggly is one of the oldest self-service grocery stores in the United States. Located in Eufaula, Ala., the company operates more than 600 stores and serves communities in over 17 states. These stores are located all across the Southeast United States and Wisconsin. Piggly Wiggly also provides support services, marketing programs and a line of promotional items to the retailers. It is an affiliate of C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc., which ranks as the 10th largest privately held company in the nation by Forbes magazine in 2010.
