Since a second session at this facility with Amy Ross in November, 2015, when the physical therapist I had an appointment with was late again, I have had constant, excruciating back pain that has made all activities, especially walking, so difficult that I have had to have assistance much of the time. It has taken spinal decompression surgery plus a round of steroids plus an anti-seizure medication to finally get some relief. I was unaware, at the time, that Ms. Ross was not trained and certified; had I known this, I would never have allowed her to touch me, much less attempt what was apparently some sort of spinal manipulation. Only an arrogant fool, or an egomaniacal narcissist, would do such a thing to someone with scoliosis, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, fused sacroiiliac joints, and osteoarthritis. After she injured me, I started hearing of others who were injured her; also that Benchmark, due to complaints about her, instead of firing her simply transferred her to their Athens, TN, location. Benchmark needs to be held accountable for all of the damage, pain, and suffering this inept employee has caused patients!As an update, I received a call this morning from David Ellis of Benchmark. He was very attentive and kind concerning my experience and assured me that he will investigate and monitor this situation in order to ensure that this sort of thing does not happen to any more patients. I wish him godspeed in doing so; heaven forbid any more patients receive similar treatment.
