Great food, good service, couldn't ask for more. Try the trout almondine! My wife still talks about that trout. Grilled trout was excellent also.

We ate here for the first time ever and found a menu that was not only complete with all the proper foods but also reasonably priced. It also was spiced up with some unusual appetizers(such as a wild game sampler) and also award wining chili and some really wonderful French onion soup and clam chowder to kill for. For great food, outstanding service and all at a very affordable price I would highly recommend Hunters Chop House next time your in Estes Park.

Was located right off of Lake Estes, just outside of the downtown area. Atmosphere was lodgy yet very classy. Menu selection was amazing, way more then a typical chop house. Menu items seemed to have a little flair added to them instead of your normal home cooking recipe.

My son and I ate here on 2 different occasions. The food was good even though it was a little pricey and the staff was wonderful. If you eat here you must have a bowl of their chili. It is the best I ever had!!!

I made reservations at the Hunter's Chop House in Estes Park CO for a wedding rehearsal dinner. I emailed Don - the owner, back and forth several times to ask questions and confirm our reservation. When the time came, the staff was amazing, the food, wonderful, and the atmosphere was perfect. I was so delighted with the whole experience. Don and Mandy were so gracious and kind and our servers were professional and accommodating. I couldn't have asked for a better place to have our rehearsal dinner than at the Hunter's Chop House. We liked the food so much that we went there the next 2 days for lunch with others from our family who came in for the wedding and they also loved the food and atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

This is the best resturaunt I have been to in a long time..for starters we had the wild game sampler. I had the Buffalo Ribeye (( Yummy )) and my boyfriend had the Bacon wrapped Filet with a Burgundy mushroom sauce.... I'm not a big dessert fan but my boyfriend loves carrot cake.... So we got it and boy was I glad...... I would go back for the dessert alone..... I'm sure it's not good for the waist line but it sure did taste good.... If your in the area I deffinatly recommend stopping here for dinner.... And the owner is a complete doll.... I heard from the waitress that he won a few of the local chilli cook offs too..... Wish that was on the menu..... All in all great place would come again...

My wife and I went to kallyks on Saturday and we both had the prime rib special it was only 11.95 and it was awsome I would have to say its the best in pinellas county, and the server was great, I honesty don't think kallyks is old, me and my wife bring our kids there because it's like home and they treat us like family not like other places, the comment about the bartender sounds that your prejudice iam happy to see anyone at any age work in american

Our hotel recommended Hunters for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by how great it was for a small town restaurant. Staff was friendly, and the food was reasonably priced. I ordered the bacon wrapped filet and it was excellent.

We must say the best place we found to eat in Estes Park had to be Hunters Chophouse. My husband and I both had ribeye and it had to be the most favorable steaks we have ever had. We also had the wild game sampler which had four different types of wild game and it was fantastic.

While our stay at the Stanley hotel, one of the staff recommended the chop house restaurant, the decor was just amazing like WOW ! we had stakes burgers and wild game sampler, our food was delicious, the staff are very friendly, kind and polite. Service was perfect and we even had a chance to talk to the owners of the restaurant who were pretty cool. Looks like we found our favorite restaurant in Estes Park.

I can't imagine a place with a better selection of bikes, ATVs, gear, and parts. It was a little overwhelming at first, but Sun has it all. The selection of new and used bikes is amazing. Also, all the gear (helmets, clothing, boots, etc.) I could've spent hours browsing through.

Me and my husband went yesterday to eat in Hunters Chop House. I had buffalo rib eye and my husband had elk medallions, and it was one of the best steaks I ever had! I have eaten in Estes Park almost everywhere, but Hunters Chop House it something to remember!!

When asked where was a good place to eat from the locals in Estes Park, most of them said Hunters. I must say the Cod fish was the best I have ever had and it was quite a lot for the serving. My husband had the grilled trout and it could not have been cooked any better. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it was served with some kind of a sweet spicy sauce and was outstanding. The local beer that they had on tap was really good as it was a honey wheat beer. My father had the New York streak with grilled onions and it came just the way he said he wanted it and was seasoned really nice. My mother had the Prime Rib and said it was one of the best she has ever had. When we come back to visit Estes Park we will definitely be eating at Hunters.

A local favorite of mine

We have eaten there 3 different times when visiting Estes Park and each time have had an excellent meal and service. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a wonderful meal at a reasonable price. The view is also wonderful - a bull elk walked past our window while we were waiting for our meal the last time we were there.
