Founded in 1971, Sandalwood Elementary is an educational institution that enrolls more than 400 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It provides special education, guidance counseling, and before- and after-school child care services. The school has a wellness center and library, as well as computer laboratories. Sandalwood Elementary also offers Title I and academic support programs. It provides speech and language therapies. In addition, the school offers English for Speakers of Other Languages and after-school mathematics tutorial programs. Sandalwood Elementary provides Comcast Mentoring Program and Maryland Green Schools Program. It is a part of Baltimore County Public Schools, which serves students in elementary, middle and high schools.
