I am very disappointed in the improper Gel Nail polish removal process done at this location. The Nail Tech (Daisy) after (Tony) started the soak with the acetone - took scissors to scrap off the remainder of the Gel Polish. Due to this, the doctor at Patient First informed me that my top layer of nail has been removed. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!!

Throughout the visit, I thought everything was fine until I questioned Holly regarding a price that she was charging me for the service. I was totally unprepared for her reaction and when her husband, Tony, tried to admonish her behavior, she got louder and more beligerant. I told her that I had no problem paying her but wanted understand why my service was 15.00 higher than anywhere I had previously been for the exact same manicure. (full set, white tips, 27.00 but she wanted to charge me 40.00) Tony agreed that I should pay 30.00 which was fine with me but he "couldn't seem to figure out how to put the 40.00 back on my card". He "couldn't void the sale?! Imagine the convenience of that at the precise moment! Funny how some folks can take your money with the swiftness but can't seem to return it when needed. I finally told them to just keep it and not to worry about me ever again. I even had Holly call me out of my name. Oh and by the way, my name is also "Holly"!

I love this nail salon!!! I've been going to Holly for the past five years now and never have I been disappointed...I have a tough work schedule ....I have to call and make an appointment and she takes me right away..... My acrylic nails would chip from other nail salons... But here at Essex Nail Care I've never had that problem... I would recommend the salon to anyone who loves to keep their nails looking great!!!

i just love this place. they are really great to deal with. you always get what you want at a good price. have never had a bad experience wit holly. highly recommend.

The salon is under new management. Holly and Tony are excellent! Very good experience. I will continue to get my pampering done at Nail Care & Spa in Essex!!

This salon has been under NEW MANAGEMENT SINCE MAY 2014. They are great. They pamper to your wishes and do a great job. Pedicures are great! Very pleased with their services. Waxing, facials in addition to gel, acrylic roduxen natural pedicures. Love the place.

My friend and I went to this salon and had to wait 30 min because of the slow service. The older lady started doing both of our nails back and forth.. She was very sloppy and disorganized. After she messed up my gel manicure the first time, she requested that I get gel acyrlics & they ended looking terrible and very sloppy. You can see the strokes, bumps, bubbles, and are uneven. My friends nails ended up looking really bad too. We were the only ones in the salon with another lady and it took them over 3 hours to finish our nails. And they over charged us, claiming they did more work than they did. I would never recommend this nail salon.
