      Business History
      The Bianchi family roots of working with granite date back to 1898. At that time our grandfather began his training in northern Italy at the young age of 12. In 1904, at age 18, he immigrated to the United States and arrived in Vermont in 1911. By 1920 he had saved enough money to buy a share in a granite business in Barre, Vermont. And, so the family tradition of providing only the finest quality work in granite was born from those humble, yet industrious, beginnings. Today, Bianchi Stone Crafters is still owned and operated by our family. Frances Bianchi, her three sons (Anthony, Eric, and Dana), daughter, Laura, and staff offer our customers 145 years of experience in granite product manufacturing, construction, and design.
