The Public Works Department is operated by the government of City of Escanaba in Michigan. The department is responsible for maintaining city streets, parking lots, storm sewers and parks, as well as maintaining city buildings and vehicles. Additionally, it is responsible for street signs and pavement markings, street sweeping, fall leaf collection, city tree maintenance, garbage and recycling collection, snow plowing and ice control. City of Escanaba governs various other departments, such as public safety, recreation, water, wastewater, human resource, electric departments and many more.
