The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit Adult Education Program provides literacy and prevocational academic and English as a Second Language program to senior citizens. It has been operational in Erie, Warren and Crawford counties in Pennsylvania for more than 20 years. The program serves county school districts, public housing, industries and community-based organizations. The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit Adult Education Program also integrates early childhood and adult education in a unified program. In addition it offers language arts, social studies, science, reading and math. The program provides a range of support services, such as child care, transportation, promotion of linkages with employers, and integration of literacy instruction and occupational training.
