Since opening in 2006, Reading With Phonics Tutoring Services has prided itself in establishing friendly, high-quality service to our clients. Every client is treated as an individual with unique needs. Below is a summary of our services available to all ages and abilities. READING PROGRAM: Our reading program teaches students to identify sound and vowel patterns to begin the learning process. We start with 1 syllable words and move steadily to multi-syllable words within a few lessons. The students are able to identify sound patterns through the use of phonics to sound out words. Phonics is used to help with proficiency in spelling and reading. Students are taught all the vowel patterns as a powerful tool for developing good spelling habits, which results in great writing skills. Suffixes and prefixes are taught along with their meanings. Learning the meanings of these affixes teach students about verb tenses, identifying adjectives, and other grammar insights. This is a guided exercise for all of our students to develop confidence. Vocabulary is also included for literacy and to establish good writing styles. These words are designed to apply well to the lessons, and are above grade level so they are new, yet relevant to the topic. Reading comprehension is also a part of every lesson. Reading comprehension and fluency are improved because students identify sound patterns quickly so they are not losing the main idea of what they are reading. This is one of the major features we use to help struggling readers. Our students begin to love reading, which results in visits to the library and bookstore! ELEMENTARY MATH: It is our experience while working with previous clients that it is important to start students at a comfortable math level where they feel empowered and competent. Then consistently and properly increase the level of difficultly. Our elementary math program includes identifying numbers, number sequence, writing number practice, addition, subtraction, multiplication facts, division, math mechanics, fractions, and decimals. GRAMMAR and WRITING PROGRAM: We enjoy working with students to improve their writing skills. The topic of language arts may include many areas of study. We provide service to students in grammar usage and mechanics, parts of speech, punctuation, verb tenses and voice, subject/verb agreement, modifiers, and so on. We also help students in developing different writing styles such as descriptive, cause and effect, persuasive, personal opinion, and creative writing. Services / Products

Reading With Phonics Tutoring Services is a privately owned tutoring company offering reading, grammar, writing, and elementary math services to all ages. Our reading program offers "back-to-the-basics" style of tutoring. This means we offer reading services not available in public education. Students that have an IEP, or are ESL learners succeed well in our reading programs. Online tutoring is also available for distance learning.
