I am a full time traveler and found myself recently in need of the air conditioning unit in my 3500 Dodge Ram replaced. On a moments notice I went to Barry Automotive in Ephrata Wa. Reluctantly due to negative review's in media resources. I arrived on a Saturday and the repair area was closed. I explained my situation and was given enlightening information about possible resolve and costs. I walked away and later decided to call back and take a chance with Barry Automotive due to how I was treated. My appointment was for the following Monday to my surprise. Apon entering the establishment I was greeted by Deborah Hosmer. The truck was in at 10 am and by 1200 noon I was informed the unit was unrepairable. Deborah explained in detail what the technician discovered. She was very curtious and professional with her delivery of information. I informed her of my situation and emergent
need for a quick resolve. I already had determined prior I desired a new unit installed. Deborah informed me she could have a new air conditioning unit at their facility the following day and if I could have the truck to them by 1pm it would be repaired the same day. Deborah called me on my cell after I departed to inform me the part was ordered, confirmed and would be arriving the next day. She called me the next day reconfirmed the part arrived. I arrived a 1pm and was given a ride by their driver. The truck was completed in a timely manner and Deborah called me to inform that the driver was on the way to pick me up. Here it is the 3rd of July and I was in and out in one day. That never happens these days anywhere on a drop in appointment. I wish to thank everyone involved in my experience with Barry Automotive. Denver the owner was very attentive, courteous, and awesome. He does a great job at attending to his customers! Jerry the salesman is knowledgeable at saling cars. He was supportive and cared about my needs and wants in a vehicle. Another magnificent detail was the flowers I received at my door after my purchase. After recently purchasing my Dodge Durango, I would highly recommend Barry Chrysler Dodge Jeep in EPHRATA to anyone shopping for a new vehicle! GO SEE JOE GOE! Joe was my sales consultant and provided excellent customer service! Joe is very relaxed, knowledgeable about their vehicles, answered every question, straight forward about the price, promptly addressed my concerns, quickly located the color I wanted and had it delivered immediately. I could NOT have had a better car buying experience in Moses Lake based upon previous experiences. Joe was not aggressive, pressuring me or blowing up my phone like some do! Rebecca was terrific assisting me and arranging the financing! The HUGE difference between this dealership and others - they make you feel like family, not just another sale. (Giving one star only because I couldn't give zero.) I took my Grand Cherokee in on a safety recall to replace or add a hitch to protect the gas tank in a collision. My vehicle had previously had a hitch, so it should have been a direct bolt on. They called me at my office and told me that they could not install the hitch because the bumper was bent and would not allow the bolts to fit. I went back to look at the problem and asked if we could talk to the person that was doing the work. He came out, asked if we could see the bent bracket and left. I thought he might be going to get the hitch to show us, but he never returned. I went back in and asked if someone else could help me and a nice guy named Jeremy came out. I asked him if we could see the hitch to figure out just how much we would have to bend the bracket to allow it to clear. He brought it out and my friend and I crawled under the Jeep to hold the hitch in place. We were able to get it lined up and asked if we could have the hardware to secure it. He gave us the nuts and bolts and we hand tightened them with no problem. We asked if he could bring an impact gun out to tighten them completely and he brought us one. About this time, the service manager came out and was telling me that I couldn't take it like that because it was a liability issue. I told her that I didn't see a liability issue when the hitch was bolted in the intended position, with the intended hardware and I would sign off that the work was completed. She gave me the invoice to sign and we took the vehicle home after doing all the work ourselves...apparently something too technical for the first technician (using the word technician VERY lightly). By the way, I'm a 52 year old woman and I could do it...

I went into this dodge dealership to get the trailer charging power restored to my 08 dodge ram diesel. After being hung up on and having it blamed on “switchboard problem” I went in person. Gave my information hoping for a return phone call for quotes. I never got a call back. Over a week later I call back, have to repeat myself and soon schedule drop off. They charged me 70 dollars for a 10 cent fuse and didn’t even check for terminal corrosion which caused the voltage drop and thus the current to rise and blow the fuse. So my batteries were dead after only a few hours drive and it could have badly damaged my furnace. A friend of mine went in for a water pump shortly thereafter despite my warnings. He was greatly disappointed they did not care to ask if the thermostat would be replaced. Maybe it is Ephrata, but I am from out of town and here on business. Only one business has given me any positive results. Not this one. Stay away!

Barry Chrysler is NOT a place I would recommend going. I had my dodge ram 2500 break down while I was at a concert over in Quincy and took it to their shop. Not only did I have to call them to finally get an answer on what was wrong with it, but they couldn't even tell me what was wrong with the truck. They recommended that I get a new instrument cluster (gauges) and said that should fix the problem. Of course believing they are the experts, and it was a cheaper price compared to shops in western Washington for a new instrument cluster, I told them to go ahead and put it in. They called me and told me the truck was all fixed and ready to go. So I made the three hour drive up there and started heading back home with the truck, only to find that the $700 part they had just put in, didn't fix the problem and almost put my life in danger as I was coming thru the snoqualmie pass. Luckily I was able to make it home as the truck was constantly dying on me and took it into Tacoma dodge. They took a look at it and told me that the other dealership didn't even car to check into the problem and only checked the trucks very basic analysis. Not looking into the wiring of the truck at all. If they had, they would have found that their was a short in air bag module and that was constantly shutting the truck off. So in conclusion, I would not take my truck their for ANY service. They do not care about their customers and especially the out of town customers.

Took my car into barry's to diagnose an intermittent stalling problem. 2 days later they say it's probably a security system problem or a computer problem. I ask them if I can pick up my car, they tell me no, damage has been done to the grille, so a week later I come back (after being told there were no diagnoses charges) I am slapped with a 123 dollar bill for them supposedly replacing my "aftermarker" bolt on the positive battery cable. Seeing as how my car still has problems and that I NEVER AUTHORIZED THEM to do any work on my car.. I am not going to pay the 123 dollars they charged me for not even finding out what was wrong with my car - and keeping it 2 weeks.

Loved working with Barry Chev dealership. Sales people very nice no pressure what's so ever. Plus they made it work for the vehicle I wanted. All was easy and genuine company. Recommend highly and will buy from them again. Thanks to Barry's. love my new Mini Cooper! Thanks again for getting me into this car. You are great peeps.
