My very first appt was today with Dr. Popkin, and honestly, he still really loves being a doctor after 30 years. He seems to be very invested in your health. He was professional, likable and thorough. He listened first then asked the correct questions. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a primary care physician. My husband and I both new patients and are happy and safe in his care. Office staff is efficient and office is clean.

He's definitely "one in a million". I don't write reviews; I typically think most of them are written by the person/company being reviewed. But Dr. Popkin is an exception. He doesn't stand at a computer making notes in my chart, half listening and glancing in my general direction. He actually sits down and looks at me before examining me. He asks me questions about how I feel and how I think things are going. Truly a doctor that I am thrilled to have found.

An utterly compassionate and understanding staff with efforts that went well beyond what I was paying. For example, Dr. Popkin has assisted me during one of the most difficult economic times that I have ever encountered. Considering that my funding and Medicaid is currently defunct, he has on various occasions went well out of his way to assist me during times of medical need. I truly respect and appreciate this doctor and his staff.

Anyway, the location is in beautiful Encino and the entire staff is genuine and very helpful tending to patient needs. Once again, this practioner is an excellent choice when I reflect back upon his demeanor, amiable nature, and superb bed-side manner. If you want a long term general practionier, I am confident in saying that Dr. Popkin is one of the best in the surrounding areas which says a lot considering the countless medical providers I have come across in the past......
