Dr. Hormozi is one of a very few surgeons in Los Angeles to be Board Certified, American Foot & Ankle Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, also a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. In addition, Dr. Hormozi is a Assistant Professor, Western University of Health Sciences. He has treated and operated on professional athletes, semi professional athletes, college athletes and high school athletes. Currently, he is the foot and ankle consultant for local schools and junior college sports teams in the Los Angeles area. As an ex-athlete, He can relate to his patients on a personal level. He performs the latest and most advance surgical procedures which allows patients to be able to walk immediately after surgery, return to regular activities, and wear regular shoes faster than most other surgeons. He completed his Pre-Medical courses at California State University of Northridge, after which he attended podiatry school at the California School of Podiatric Medicine. After completing 4 years of podiatry school, he was accepted to Providence Tarzana Hospital/Southern California Kaiser Podiatry Residency Program, one most respected and elite 3 year residency programs in the United States. He 3 year residency training placed heavy emphasis on the surgical correction of complex foot and ankle deformities, sports injuries, arthroscopy, pediatric surgery, revisional foot and ankle surgery, trauma, diabetic reconstruction, wound care, and limb salvage techniques. During residency, he completed several thousand procedures and surgeries, and worked with over one hundred foot and ankle surgeons. Because of his diverse and complex training, he has been able to develop his own surgical skills and techniques, allowing him to provide his patients with excellent surgical outcomes. He has given many lectures to hospital staff, sharing his knowledge and expertise in the field of foot and ankle surgery.
