Emerson Jr/Sr High School is a learning center that is accredited by the New Jersey State Department of Education. It serves students in grades 7 through 12. The school is governed by the Emerson School District. It offers courses in Spanish, industrial arts, business education, chemistry and home economics. Located in Emerson, N.J., the school offers advanced placement and college preparatory programs, as well as conducts English as a Second Language classes. Emerson Jr/Sr High School also provides education in astronomy, journalism, robotics, Web design, and visual and performing arts. It supports various sports activities that include basketball, cheerleading and wrestling. The school publishes a newsletter, The Cavalier, which carries updates on school activities. In addition, Emerson Jr/Sr High School provides meals and guidance counseling.
