Altamahaw-Ossipee Elementary School is located in Elon College, N.C., and offers classes from grades kindergarten through five. It offers various subjects, such as reading, writing, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, music and physical education. It provides special education programs and extracurricular activities to students with disabilities. The school offers spelling, recitation, reading, arts and music clubs to students. It library houses a wide collection of fiction, nonfiction books, CDs and DVDs and games. In addition, the school provides summer preschool and after school, language reading and mathematics programs to general and disabled students. It has a parent-teacher association that assists in various school activities.
